Jet Online is part of the Edcon group, which also includes Edgars and CNA. Currently, it is Southern Africa’s largest clothing retailer, serving 1.3 million customers. Jet opened their first store in 1976 and by 2019, there were more than 700 stores in Southern Africa. In July 2019, they discontinued their online shopping platform, as they felt their target customers prefer the in-store experience. Their stores can be found in all major cities such as Cape Town, Polokwane, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg and East London. 

Jet Stores fall under the Clothing, Footwear, Sport category along with other stores such as Ackermans, Mr Price, Truworths, Sportsmans Warehouse, Cape Union Mart, Sportscene, Totalsports, MRP Sport, Spitz and Superbalist. Their trading hours depend on the shopping centre or mall in which they are located, but the most common trading hours in their stores are Monday to Sunday from 8h00 to 17h00.
